Our Partners – WOKQ Year of Service

Southers Construction is Proudly Partnered with WOKQ Radio – Hear about their Year of Service!

Each year, some of our powerful radio stations, WOKQ, WPKQ, WHOM and WSHK/WSAK (The Shark,) partner with several non-profits to receive an extensive advertising campaign on the air and on our digital products. The "Year of Service" has been running on these stations for decades and the organizations are chosen by applications that we receive from non-profits from all over our listening areas. Before we get to this year’s winners, I would like to say a heart-felt thank you to all those who applied through our station websites. The members of our Year of Service committee have said that this was a difficult task since there were so many worthy, deserving non-profits. To all of you, please know that if your organization isn’t named here, we value community support above all. Never hesitate to reach out if there is something that we can help you with.

To those who are going to receive the Year of Service partnership with us, CONGRATULATIONS! You will be receiving an advertising schedule that will absolutely make an impact for the good of your organization and in turn, help your cause. I am very excited for you.

And now….. Chio & Kira from WOKQ and 103-7, The Peak, Jadd from WHOM Morning Show, Aaron from the Shark Morning Show and I are proud to announce the winners of this year’s recipients of the Year of Service 2021.

How exciting! Here is a further explanation of our winners, in no particular order: Trans NH Bike Ride for Muscular Dystrophy of New Hampshire! From their website: The Trans-NH bike ride has a rich history that began in 1988. Each year our ride is dedicated to an individual — sometimes a child, sometimes an adult — struggling with muscular dystrophy or related muscle disease. By dedicating the ride, we put a more personal face on the disease(s) that we’re working to eradicate.

Monarch School of New England, from their website: The Monarch School of New England brings individuals with intellectual, physical, medical and behavioral disabilities into the mainstream of everyday life. The Monarch School of New England supports individuals with special needs so they can realize their greatest potential. In this nurturing environment, a comprehensively trained staff works one-on-one with each individual, uniquely integrating both education and therapy, to ensure successful transitions to school and to the community.
